Wind Mitigation Inspection
A wind mitigation inspection documents the features that help your home stand up to high wind — roof covering and deck attachment, roof-to-wall connections, roof geometry, and opening protection. Secondary water resistance is checked too, and the findings are documented for your insurance company. Both of our inspecting owners are InterNACHI® Certified Wind Mitigation Inspectors, so the inspection is performed by an owner and documented correctly the first time.

FORTIFIED Evaluation
FORTIFIED is the IBHS building standard for high wind and hail. Bobby is an IBHS-credentialed FORTIFIED Evaluator: he documents a re-roof or new build against the standard and builds the evidence package, and IBHS issues the FORTIFIED Roof, Silver or Gold designation. Most of the evidence lives under the shingles, so call before the roofers start.

We walk roofs. When we can’t, we fly.
A steep pitch, a slate or tile surface, or a roof that is not safe to stand on gets an aerial roof survey instead, close enough to read a flashing detail without putting a boot through anything. Everything else we walk. See it on what we find.

Do you inspect outbuildings and detached living spaces?
Yes. A detached residence or office, and outbuildings such as storage structures, sheds, detached garages and barns, can be inspected in addition to the main residence.
Is there anything a home inspection does not include?
A home inspection is a visual inspection of the readily accessible systems and components. It is not a code compliance inspection, an appraisal, or a warranty on the property.
